Microfilms of catholic records from beginnings to 1876, taken in 1976. This is the Church copy.

Review

Those are copies from original records. Some can be hard to read because of handwritting, ink that traversed the paper, etc. Some records have an index, while for other you have to read or even analyse records one by one.

If the microfilm is not available in a Family History Center (FHC), you have to order it. Many of those microfilms are available in archive centers, libraries or genealogical societies in Quebec.

Availability

In nearly all LDS FHC (you must rent the microfilm if not available locally). Montreal: ANQ, BNQ, SGCF, 2 LDS Centres
