Genealogy of the French in North America

The 2026 release is now available.
Important: because of the tariffs required by the president of USA, there is no more postal shipping to USA. Only the Internet version is now available if you have a postal address in USA.

No change for shipping to Canada.

Purchasing an update with Paypal

Use this page if you have already yet purchased a copy at the full price (i.e. you are already a customer). You will have eventually to supply an invoice number to proof that purchase. Otherwise, use this page. 

The database is now available only on a Flash Drive instead of a CD or DVD. This means some changes for some users.

  • You now need either an Internet connection and unzipping application (like 7-zip which is available for many kinds of computers) or
  • A Flash Drive and USB connector. Most users will prefer the zipped version as it is much faster to copy the zipped files and unzip than to copy a directory with the individual files.
  • Files are now named .html instead of .htm. If you copy to the same directory, files will be duplicated, so you have to copy to a new directory if you are upgrading.

To get your copy, send your payment to Denis Beauregard.  There is no sales tax to add and credit card payment are accepted only through the Paypal buttons. Shipping is included in the price. Interac is accepted in Canada. Shipping is included in the price.

General Terms

You buy a copy of the database and its support on a disk, and the authorization for copying it on ONE computer (individual version) or many computers in a single room (multi-computer version or public library version).  You don't have the right to make otehr copies, resale, distribute or share with others the content of the database, including on electronic format, on a web site, on paper or any other possible mean.  You cannot resale the support or rent the disk. Guaranty is limited to the replacement of a defective support if not readable on a recent and working computer.

Updates

When you purchase a CD-ROM, you can purchase other copies (update) later for a smaller price.  This is a complete replacement for the whole database.

The CD-ROM is refreshed at least once each year. See the history to know about previous updates.

Statistics, lists of corrections, etc.

Each family sheet has a table about ancestors and descendants of that couple. These tables are refreshed for a customized genealogy or the full database.

The list of  corrections is built only when there is an official update of the  Genealogy of the French in North America.  However, the corrections themselves are written directly on the family sheets when they are corrected.
